CHICAGO IL — Chicago Post Offices will be closed on Monday, January 15, 2018 in observance of the federal holiday marking the birthday of Civil Rights Movement champion Martin Luther King Jr. His official birthday is Jan. 15. The holiday is commonly referred to as Martin Luther King Day. There will not be any mail delivery or retail service on January 15. All services resume on Tuesday, January 16. Post Offices will be open regularly scheduled hours on January 16.

BEDFORD PARK, IL - Winter is here to stay for a while, temperatures fluctuate to high, low, and sometimes below. The rise and fall in the temperature makes for icy and sometimes dangerous conditions. The Postal Service is asking customers to clear snow and ice from sidewalks, stairs and mailboxes, to help letter carriers deliver the mail.
